Tessa Noelle Davis 2/4/2014

I was scheduled for an induction on February 5th but Tessa had other plans.  On February 4th I went to bed and was anxiously awaiting for the 5th to come. I was sick of having Braxton Hick contractions for a month.  I woke up around 3:30am with cramping but didn't really think of it really being labor because it wasn't as painful as I remembered with Ashlyn (Kinsley I had no pain because I was induced and got the epidural before contractions started up).  I started timing my contractions and they weren't really consistent but deep Inside I had a feeling this was the real deal and I better get Blaine up and call my parents because they were going to watch Ashlyn and Kinsley for me.   My parents ended up not being able to leave their house when I needed them too because there was a big snow storm at their house.  My sister Amy was a life saver an drove all the way to the hospital to meet us and take the girls for us until our parents could get there.  It was around 5am when  Blaine and I went into labor and delivery and I was so sure they were going to send us home.  The nurses hooked me up to the machine that measures how strong my contractions were and checked to see how dilated I was.  I was in shock that I was already dilated to a 5-6 and my bag was buldging.  They said they would come back and check me again in a little while.  Right before 7 the nurses came in and I was dilated to a 10 and I had the urge to push.   My doctor came in and they got everything ready to deliver the baby.  Tessa was very stubborn and didn't want to come out.  Everytime she came down the birth canal her head turned and she was facing the wrong way. Finally with a little help Tessa made her grand appearance at 7:44am on February 4th.  She had the cord wrapped around her neck and was so small.  She was 5 lbs 14 oz and was 18.5 inches long.  When I first saw her I was so concerned because she was so small and wasn't crying.  After being put I my chest and getting rubbed down she started to cry.  She had such a sweet little cry.  The nurses didn't give her a bath because they were so concerned about how tiny she was and they didn't want her to lose any body heat.   Tessa had to have her blood sugar tested every few hours because they were concerned with how small she was that maybe she wasn't able to keep her blood sugar where it was supposed to be.  Luckily she passed all her tests and had no issues at all.
Less than an hour old

First Time!

So the other day I decided to make mac and cheese for Ashlyn! I knew it was going to be a mess so I was dreading having her eat it. It ended up being everywhere just like I expected! Including the carpet and wall!

Shadow the terror

So we got a puppy the beginning of January. We named him Shadow. He is a border collie mix! I swear all that dog try to do it figure out ways to irritate me and Blaine. He is constantly licking the window, biting the screen, Chewing on our trees and plants, digging hole in our yard, etc. He loves to jump all over Ashlyn which she hates. I can't wait till she is bigger than him and tackles him to the ground. lol I have had so many scratch mark and bite marks on my that I have lost count.

But I do admit he has really grown on me and he is slowly but surely getting better. He is a very smart boy so we just got to get him out of this puppy stage!

I don't even bother cleaning that window because I know it will be sick in 5 minutes!
